Robert A. Denny, founder and Pastor of In His Steps, has been a member of Ramona First Baptist (now known as Mountain View Community Church) for over 21 years. Bob comes from a background of substance abuse. He gave his life to Jesus in 1985 and found deliverance from his addiction. Bob has been active in his church for the past 21 years working with the homeless and drug addicted members of our community. In 1995 he and Greg Roderick had the vision of operating a men’s home. In November 1995 that vision became reality. Nine years later In His Steps has grown to four homes with as many as fifty people at one time with a success rate of over 60%. Bob completed his Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor Certificate with the University of California, San Diego in the winter of 1999. Bob received the 1996 Distinguished Social Ministry Award from the Southwest Baptist Conference for his work with In His Steps.
